The Imo State All Progessives Congress, (APC) Membership Registration/Revalidation Committee has announced that the extended membership revalidation and registration exercise for all party members and intending members will close on thursday, 22nd July 2021.
This is contained in a release endorsed by the State Chairman of the party’s registration/revalidation committee, Mr Godwin Anughe.
The party has advised members who are yet to revalidate their membership as well as intending new ones to visit their Local Government Areas Headquaters for their membership revalidation and registration on or before the closing date.
Meanwhile, the former Governor of the state and incumbent Senator representing Imo West senatorial district in the National Assembly, Rochas Okorocha and a former Senator, Ifeanyi Ararume and their supporters are yet to revalidate their membership of the party.
The feud between Okorocha and the incumbent Governor, Hope Uzodimma reports say are tied to Okorocha’s demands to be in control of the structure of the party and also the recovery of properties looted during his reign as Governor. However, Gov. Uzodimma has continually insisted that Okorocha and his allies have left the party, a statement which Okorocha has continued to deny but continues to go against the bidding of the party.
