Murder of Royal Fathers: Imo APC Call For Arrest of Culprits

The All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Imo State under the leadership of Macdonald Ebere, PhD have condemned the murder of two prominent traditional rulers from Njaba LGA of the State, Eze E.A Duruebure and Eze Sampson Osunwa of Okwudor and Ihebinowere autonomous communities respectively, while calling on security authorities to hasten action in fishing out perpetrators of the dastardly act.

In a press release made available and signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Cajetan Duke, the party described the murder of the two royal fathers as barbaric.

“Piqued by the provocative desecration of our land with violent killings of innocent citizens, particularly the sacrilegious murder of our traditional rulers, our party throws its total support to the state government and all relevant security agencies in their best security arrangement and effort to bring the perpetrators and their sponsors and enablers to face the full wrath of the law”, the release stated.

Further called on all relevant security agencies in the state to rise up to recent security challenges in the state, particularly in the area of intelligence gathering and rapid response approach, while expressing worry over the silence of opposition parties in the midst of series of killings happening in the State.

While sympathizing with the people of Njaba council area, they called on relevant security authorities to fish out and prosecute those behind the murder.

It would be recalled that the traditional rulers were murdered last Tuesday by yet to be identified gunmen at Njaba Council headquarters in Nnenasa.
