IMO GOVT PARTNERS NEMA TO DISTRIBUTE RELIEF ITEMS TO IMO FARMERS

Imo State Deputy Gov., Prof Placid Njoku, has revealed that farmers in Imo state who had their crops destroyed by the flood would receive relief materials from the Imo State Government through the National Emergency Management Agency. This decision was made after he inspected the farm inputs brought to the state by NEMA.

Prof Njoku stressed that the Shared Prosperity Government of Gov. Hope Uzodimma is not leaving anything to chance when providing the Agricultural sector in the state with its adequate needs. He concluded his statement by saying Imo state can feed the nation given the fertile ground she posses.

According to the guidelines released for the distribution of the materials, he noted that verified farmers whose farm actually got flooded would receive compensation soon, as tons of farm inputs have already been brought into the state by NEMA.
